Beef Initiative Criteria for Ranchers:

1. Organic Production: Formal federal certification is not required. All beef produced by ranchers participating in our platform must use and speak to natural and organic input protocols. This includes the use of organic or natural feed that does not include any “added” hormones or antibiotics and the prohibition of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. 2. Regenerative Agriculture: Ranchers must demonstrate a commitment to regenerative agricultural practices, such as rotational grazing, cover cropping, and soil health management.
   
   
3. Animal Welfare: Ranchers must adhere to strict animal welfare standards, including providing animals with access to pasture, proper nutrition, and a humane living environment.
   
   
4. No mRNA vaccines: Ranchers must not use mRNA vaccines on any of their animals.
   
   
5. Traceability: Ranchers must provide full traceability of their animals from birth to slaughter and be able to provide detailed records of the animal's diet, living conditions, and veterinary treatments throughout its life.
   
   
6. Sustainable Practices: Ranchers must demonstrate a commitment to improving land management, and implementing regenerative agricultural practices.
   
   
7. Transparency: Ranchers must be open and transparent in their practices and be willing to share information with consumers and other stakeholders about their production methods.
   
   
8. Compliance: Ranchers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the production of beef.
   
   
9. Continuous Improvement: Ranchers must be willing to continuously improve their practices and be open to feedback and suggestions for improvement from consumers and other stakeholders.
   
   
10. Community Engagement: Ranchers should actively engage with their local communities, promoting awareness and education about regenerative agriculture, and supporting local food systems.

This criteria is set to ensure that the beef offered in our platform is of the highest quality, ethically and sustainably produced, and meets the expectations and requirements of our customers.
